Coronavirus Update

The coronavirus has sadly brought an abrupt end to our student-athletes overseas adventure, ending their seasons and halting future travel plans. U.K. universities have now reverted to online teaching for the rest of the academic year and our students will now complete the final semester of their course from home.

Many of the students in our network are currently asking how the current pandemic will effect their plans for the Fall 2020 semester.

Will the coronavirus impact studying overseas in Fall 2020?

We are in regular contact with our university partners across the U.K. and are monitoring the situation on a daily basis. As it stands, the Fall 2020 semester plans to proceed as normal. Should there be any form of update that effects the possible start date of your selected course, we will let you know right away.

It is our hope that by the time you are meant to start your overseas adventure, approximately six months from now (March 2020), that current pandemic will be under control and your year as an overseas postgraduate student-athlete will be set to go ahead as planned.

For the time being, those student-athletes who are still interested in taking their career overseas this upcoming Fall are recommended to prepare as normal.

Play Overseas staff are continuing to work remotely during the pandemic and are on hand to assist with all relating to your year overseas. We will continue to keep all of our applicants updated and inform you of any changes as soon as possible.

We hope that you and your loved ones stay healthy and hope to see you arrive in the U.K. as planned later this year!
