Golfer Alex Baguley grew up in Manchester, England where he pursued his golf alongside his high school education. After a successful junior career he achieved a golf scholarship to NAIA golf powerhouse, Keiser University.
Alex had a successful career as a student-athlete in the States, highlighted by numerous national rankings and an NCAA D1 tournament win. He was also successful in the classroom, maintaining a high GPA throughout his education before graduating with a Bachelors of Business Administration, Advertising and Marketing.
Alex was able to gain some valuable work experience whilst in the States, working with Sodexo as their Graphic Design Artist and Marketing Coordinator. Having played golf to a high standard throughout his undergraduate education, it seemed a natural progression for Alex to have the opportunity to do this at the postgraduate level and this is where Play Overseas can help.
Alex said “Harry contacted me as I was finishing studying in the states and gave me a fantastic opportunity to come home to the UK. Harry put me in the best position in to speak to some of the best sporting programs in the country which also allowed me to complete my postgraduate studies. I am now about to play golf and study my Management MA at Durham University; a consistent top ten performer in University sports and one of the top Universities in the country”.
Alex will be starting his course in the UK this Fall and we look forward to tracking his success on the course and in the classroom.
