FIVE Play Overseas athletes set to compete in this year’s Rebound All-Star game!
Following the success of last year’s inaugural Rebound All-Star games, this Sunday (7th) will see the East and the West face off once again at the Solent Sports Complex in Southampton.
The end-of-season event celebrates and showcases some of the most talented male and female players within Basketball England’s NBL and WNBL Division One. Players are selected from coaches involved in both university leagues and external clubs and we are proud to announce that five of our athletes have been selected to appear in this year’s Rebound All-Star games.
After impressive debut seasons in the UK, Megan Dorney, Rian Rawlings, Genessa Bodeya, Seth Hall, and Elijah Bailey will all be competing in front of a sell-out crowd this weekend.
With US college careers spanning across all three NCAA divisions, we take a look at all five of our 2023 Rebound All-Stars ahead of this weekend’s action.
Megan DorneyWhitworth University, NCAA D3Megan has enjoyed an incredibly successful season in the UK, claiming both League and Playoff titles in Division 1 of the Women’s National Basketball League. As well as securing the D1 League title, Megan added the Playoff Trophy to her impressive collection of accolades, capping off an incredible season for the two-time WNBL champion. |

Elijah BaileyUniversity of New Haven, NCAA D2Elijah has already celebrated a hugely successful season, having won both the Premier North Division title and the National Championship. The former University of New Haven guard will end his excellent season in the UK by teaming up with fellow Play Overseas athlete, Seth Hall on Team Johnson. |

Genessa BedoyaSeattle University, NCAA D1A Premier South Division title winner and National Championship finalist, former Seattle guard Genessa, has proven to be a force to be reckoned with on the court. Genessa will end her remarkable debut season overseas by teaming up with Play Overseas athletes Megan and Rian on Team Cleary.

Seth HallPacific Lutheran University, NCAA D3Following an excellent season with both his university and club side, the former Lute helped his team to a quarter-final appearance in the National Championship and a big Varsity win. Seth will also be representing Team Johnson, who will be managed by his UK university team coach, Dan Watts. |

Rian RawlingsWestminster College, NCAA D2Former Westminster College guard, Rian delivered some huge performances this season, earning Team of the Week honors and honorable mentions throughout the year. A standout game of 20 points and 12 rebounds in the final game of the season helped her side into the playoffs and round off an impressive regular season overseas. |

Alongside the men’s and women’s All-Star games, participants will also be taking part in a 3PT contest and Dunk Contest in what promises to be a thrilling showcase of UK university talent.
