On Sunday the 17th of March 2024, the Copper Box Arena in London, England will host the first ever Women’s British Basketball League All-Star Game.
Every year, we help hundreds of student-athletes continue their sporting careers at universities across the UK. Beyond playing college sport, certain UK universities can offer students the opportunity to compete in professional sports leagues alongside their studies, through affiliations to professional clubs.
One notable example is the Women’s British Basketball League (WBBL). Founded in 2014 as the women’s counterpart to the British Basketball League, the WBBL is a professional women’s league that currently has 11 franchises located in major towns and cities across the UK, many of which are affiliated with nearby universities.
This year, the WBBL will be hosting it’s first ever All-Star Game, featuring the leagues most talented players from every franchise. In what is poised to be an epic showdown between teams from the North and South, fan votes will decide who stars in the 2024 WBBL All-Star Game.
We are proud to highlight three Play Overseas athletes who you can vote to appear in the first ever WBBL All-Star Game. Learn more about our athletes and how to vote for them below!
