Former Texas Longhorn Mariam Abdul-Rashid won gold at the BUCS Nationals, football teammates Jake Ryan and Braxton Morris of the UWE Bullets become Premier Southern Conference Champions, whilst NTU men’s basketball players Demetrius and Jordan, recorded another impressive victory behind standout performances. Mariam takes 1st place in 60m Hurdles at BUCS Indoor National ChampionshipsFormer Texas Longhorn, Mariam Adbul Rashid took first place in the 60m Women’s Hurdle at the BUCS Nationals on Saturday. With a time of 8.27, Mariam took gold as she represented the University of East London at the 2020 Indoor BUCS Nationals in Sheffield. |

UWE American Football team crowned Premier Southern Conference Champions
The UWE Bullets defeated the Birmingham Lions 46-14 on Saturday to be crowned 2020 Premier Southern Conference Champions. Play Overseas athletes Jake Ryan and Braxton Morris have enjoyed a fantastic year with standout wins against Hertfordshire (60-6) and Swansea (42-0) to finish the regular season, 7-1.
